Metrum was appointed to project manage the Netcare Milpark Major Expansion project to construct two new medical towers. This 20,000 m² state-of-the-art medical facility was built on the live Trauma 1 Milpark Hospital grounds.

Scope of works included an oncology bunker, cath laboratories, four theatres and 135 beds. The hospital’s facilities were upgraded and expanded to accommodate additional and upgraded facilities:
- 90 ward beds
- 45 ICU beds2
- 0 isolation beds
- 4 theatres
- New catheterisation (Cath) lab
- New electrophysiology (EP) lab
- Cardiac centre
- New administration block
- New staff canteen
- Coffee shop
- New doctors’ suites
