He has been involved in the development and management of numerous prestigious projects and aside from building a wealth of experience, he has earned an excellent reputation in the industry for his unerring integrity, leadership prowess and consistency in successful project completion. Sven is highly respected, valued and trusted by both our clients and his industry peers.
Paolo Onofri
Director
Paolo is a hands-on director and an expert at solving clients’ challenges. He is a professional construction project manager with over 25 years’ experience in contracting, development and project management. He has headed illustrious developments both locally and internationally, including Dubai and Mauritius.
Metrum’s clients benefit from Paolo’s wealth of experience across all fields in the industry as well as his personal and direct involvement with each and every project he manages.
Paolo is highly regarded by his fellow professionals for his integrity, problem solving abilities and management principles.

Thebe Modisakeng
Project Manager
Thebe joined Metrum in 2012 as a Senior Project Manager and has over 25 years’ experience in the industry. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering from Wits Technikon and has extensive experience managing projects on a wide range of developments. He currently manages a number of high-value and complex projects at our Steyn City development and has proven to be an invaluable member of the team - for both the client and his fellow professionals.
His Professional Memberships and Affiliations include Corporate Membership with the ACPM, Corporate Membership with the GBCSA and Corporate Membership with SAPOA. He is also an accredited SACPCMP professional.
Gavin Sleater
Project Manager
Gavin graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 1991 with a BSc in Quantity Surveying.
His career in the construction industry spans 23 years, and includes positions from Contracts Manager and Senior Facilities Manager, to Senior Portfolio Manager, Development Manager, Senior Project Manager and finally Projects Director.
He joined the Metrum team in 2017 and his successful management of high value and complex developments in the Commercial, Retail, Leisure and Industrial sectors has added immense value to the Professional Project Management position he holds in the company.
Dario Souto
Project Manager
Dario has over 10 years’ experience in project and construction management and currently manages a number of Metrum’s high-profile projects in Mozambique. He has a BSc Construction Management degree from the University of the Witswatersrand and has managed a diverse range of projects including apartment blocks, offices, clinics, community centres, hotels and schools. His strengths lie in project co-ordination, development management, contract administration, programming and time management, and project controls. He is a corporate member of the ACPM (Association of Construction Project Managers) and is registered with the MOBH.
John Haefele
Project Manager
John graduated from Wits University in 1999 with an Honours Degree in Building Sciences, Construction Management and Economics. John’s superior qualifications are partnered by his 15-years’ experience on some of South Africa’s largest commercial projects, in positions ranging from Residential Development Manager, National Projects Planner, Contracts Manager, Project Manager and is currently Senior Project Manager for Metrum.
John’s exposure includes a strong contracting background, and through this experience, has gained a solid understanding of the importance of communication and networking as well as the logistical, planning, procurement, tender procedure, QA and management challenges on large scale projects from the feasibility stage all the way through to post completion.
Jason Cook
Project Manager
Jason joined Metrum in 2023 and has 28 years experience in the construction industry.
Kane Heath
Project Manager
Kane joined Metrum in 2023 and has over 12 years experience in the construction industry.
Conrad Du Toit
Senior Project Planner
Conrad's project expertise extends from engineering projects to all types of commercial projects and includes BIM (4D, 5D & Coordination facilitation through red-lining and clash detection). He has extensive experience in construction management and planning (preparation of tender programme and P&G during tender phase as well as Project Planner/ Management during execution phase and Forensic planning including “cause and effect” and “delay & disruption” claims post project completion).
He strongly believes in an outcomes-based and goal-orientated approach and always seeks the best solutions for any given project with regards to time related/ construction programme aspects and what would be required to achieve the projects required timelines and goals.
